The Opsix is one of those deep synths that rewards going well beyond the obvious approach. Its operators gives you a huge amount of flexibility, and I found myself using it just as often for warm, analogue-style and evolving sounds as for anything recognisably FM.
For this first bank, the focus is on retro, ambient and electronica patches; warm polys, evolving pads, textured keys, arps and more experimental sounds, with plenty of movement and modulation built in. If you like synths that feel a less pristine or digital and a little more organic, atmospheric and unpredictable, this is very much the direction I’ve taken.
Load the supplied .opsixprogram files into Opsix Sound Librarian then transfer the complete bank or selected patches to the synthesiser.
