Here is a new collection of 26 patches for the Hydrasynth. My aim was to create sounds that feel warm, dusty and, importantly, work well in mono.
I write neoclassical and ambient electronica, so I built the bank around patches that fit naturally within that world and feel immediately inspiring to play. I’m not a fan of Macros that radically alter a sound, so each patch includes at least three, designed mainly to add atmosphere and movement while keeping the core character intact.
I’d owned the Hydrasynth for around six months when I created this collection, and during that time I found myself going increasingly deeper into the modulation matrix while developing my broader understanding of synthesis. I hope that sense of exploration comes through in the patches.
Load the supplied .hydra file in Hydrasynth Manager, then transfer the complete bank or selected patches to the synthesiser.
