Here are 30 patches for the Arturia MicroFreak, one of my favourite synths for its immediacy. As you’ll hear in the playthrough video, I’m drawn to noisy and unpredictable sounds, often with a more organic character and a focus on melody.
The collection is made up mainly of pads, arps and keys, although you can adjust the attack, decay and octave settings to shape them into your own key or bass sounds. I also tend to favour polyphony, so I don’t think there’s a single monophonic patch in the bank. You can, of course, switch paraphonic mode off whenever it suits.
Import the sound bank through Arturia MIDI Control Center, then transfer the presets to the MicroFreak slots you want to use.
