The MicroFreak is one of my favourite synths for instant results. Thanks to its recent firmware updates, it can now cover an enormous range of sounds, and building on my Vol. 1 patch bank gave me the perfect excuse to spend more time with it.
This collection focuses more directly on a Boards of Canada and Tycho-inspired sound: tones that flutter, drift and warble like degraded tape, creating a palette that feels both nostalgic and strangely timeless. If you find pristine digital synths a little too clean, this bank is designed with that in mind.
Import the sound bank through Arturia MIDI Control Center, then transfer the presets to the MicroFreak slots you want to use.
