Following my Retro Ambient collection, I was keen to return to the MiniFreak and explore more of its extensive sound-design potential. The result is a bank designed to provide an immediate source of ambient inspiration.
This collection makes use of many of the newer oscillators, so the latest firmware is required. It includes a mixture of pads, arps and keys, all with mod-wheel variation for simplicity, and is designed to bring texture, instability and the kind of fuzzy warmth that can help a track come to life.
All patches have Modwheel assignments to alter the core sound.
Use Arturia’s MiniFreak software tools to import the presets and transfer them to the hardware or software instrument.
